1. To learn whether the chain wore out or not, put it on the third star (biggest) then try to delay the chain finger-tips from the star. If two teeth on the star completely become visible – the chain is worn-out, three teeth – the chain is killed.
2. As sign of strong wear of the cartridge or the chain also serves chirring of the chain at the movement, even when it is greased. If the chain and without loading makes such sounds, then it is very strongly worn-out.
3. And here one more way of check of the chain on wear, more exact: take the ruler and measure on the chain distance between the center of any pin and the center of the 24th after it the pin. If the result turns out equal 304.8-306.4 mm, then the chain as it should be. If the result equals 306.4-307.9 mm, the chain is worn-out and it should be replaced. When the result of measurement becomes more than 307.9 mm, it means that the chain and the cartridge are worn-out, and it is possible, even all system.
4. If you "reel up" more than 3-4 thousand km during the season, chains should be changed. The cartridge has the resource by 2-3 times bigger, than the chain resource, but the iznoshenny the chain, the it ruins also the cartridge quicker. If you pass 300-500 km with the worn-out chain, you should throw out it together with the cartridge.
5. To raise the resource of the chain and the cartridge, we advise not to wait until the chain wears out and will begin "to eat" the cartridge, and to change the chain before term. Then again change the chain then begin around with the first and so on.
6. Remove and put the chain aside, having passed 500-600 km. Put the new chain on the same distance. Then third. After that choose the shortest chain and ride it 500-600 more km and so on. Having changed three times on three chains, throw out together with the cartridge.
