Stock
To play cricket, it is necessary to get the corresponding stock. Special wooden columns and crossing points from which gates (one of basic elements of the game), bits for cricket made of the tree and also the ball for cricket, in the form the reminding baseball gather will be necessary for you. Besides, the corresponding sportswear is necessary for playing cricket. It includes: long trousers, the shirt (with long or short sleeves) and footwear. Field
Playing cricket takes place on the fields having the form of the ellipse in which center the rectangular site which is called the pitch is located its length makes 22 meters, and width – 10 meters. The central part of the field, as a rule, has shorter grass surface, than its other part. The field of play is divided the special lines called crises into play areas.
Basic rules
Teams at playing cricket consist of 11 people from each party. The position of each player has the name, for example, the player serving the ball is called the bowler, and the player who is making a save – the batsman. The team which gained the greatest number of points becomes the winner of the game, as well as in many other team games. Observance of rules in the course of the game is monitored by two referees. In official matches of high level to games also the third referees can be attracted. Besides, for maintaining the score there are so-called markers, they watch the teams of referees and do calculations of results of the game.
Game consists in taking of points called wounds (from the English run - jog). The player (bowler) of one of teams makes cross towards the batsman of opposite team. The batsman makes a save so that that departed as it is possible further, at this moment the batsman makes jog across the field of and in case of observance of some rules, his team gains the point (wounds). At the same time, if players of the giving command catch the ball before its falling on the earth or break the gate, the batsman quits the game. Draw of the ball takes place until all 10 batsmen are sidelined then teams change roles.
