Owners of old options of bindings of ski boots (so-called ISG standard) know that this detail in skis the weakest. Sometimes it is necessary to throw out skis in good condition only because of bindings. Ability correctly and qualitatively to repair the binding would allow to save on purchase of new skis and not to throw out old skis, quite suitable for use. Simple transfer of bindings on the new point of the ski usually doesn't help and becomes loose also quickly.
It is required to you
- - screw-driver under the cross;
- - screws under the cross which length doesn't exceed ski thickness and diameter is more than old;
- - superglue.
Instruction
1. First of all, if the binding didn't come off finally yet, it needs to be turned off accurately, trying not to damage the remains of the carving and the seat.
2. Further it is necessary to pick up new screws. Screws have to be such length that they when screwing didn't pierce the ski through. I.e. it is necessary to pick up the size similar to already established. It is important that diameter of the new screw was more, than already established. Also, it is necessary that the hat was secret and under the cross (to cross the vent it is possible to put big loading without proskok of the screw-driver when screwing).
3. Now it is necessary to prepare the seat on skis. Clean the installation site of the old binding from dirt. Examine the openings which remained from screws. If you managed to be engaged in repair earlier, than the binding turned out, then it is possible to use old openings. If isn't present – the ski binding needs to be transferred back (closer to the blunt end of the ski) to 1 cm for each point.
4. If you restore the old seat, then in the cleaned openings from screws it is necessary to pour superglue and to allow it to dry. If you transferred the binding, then at first it is necessary profit new screws in the new point, and then to unscrew and fill in these openings with glue and also to wait for drying (about 2-3 hours).
5. Further, establish bindings in the same way as you would act with new bindings. The only difference is that screws need to be moistened also plentifully with superglue and to roll until glue dried yet.
6. Spin screws against the stop. Sustain 12 hours or more and the task is carried out. Such method of the binding much more reliable, than standard! I managed to restore by this method old skis and myself, and to the wife three years ago and still bindings didn't even become loose.
