How to tie the belt in tayekvando

As well as in other east martial arts, in tayekvando the fighter's vestments surely include the kimono and correctly tied belt. The belt speaks about the athlete's level much – there is the whole gradation of flowers of belts according to which the pupil moves to new, higher levels, having proved the skill at examinations and competitions. Beginners wear the white belt, and the most experienced fighters – the red or black belt. Irrespective of color of the belt, it needs to be able to be tied correctly – it is considered that truly tied belt is already the part of the victory.

Instruction

1. Take the belt so that its ends were identical length, and fix it on the stomach. Get back both ends, and that end which goes on the right side, get behind the back under that end which goes on the left side.

2. Bring this end of the belt forward, directing it to the middle of the stomach, and bring out of the belt from below up. The end has to be given from the belt down. After that spend the second end on the top circle, get forward and push under both layers of the belt from below up.

3. Tighten both ends. The end of the belt which is hanging down down has to be smooth and not overwound. From above tie the end and pull for both ends of the belt, don't receive strong knot yet. Both ends which are hanging down from knot have to have equal length.

4. Tying the belt, be guided by its middle which is on the stomach to provide symmetry of both ends. For the correct fixing of the kimono always do two turns of the belt and level its ends in the course of setting.

5. The external end of the belt always does pickup of both turns of the belt in front, and then is removed upward. The correct node in the belt for tayekvondo is tied in the horizontal plane.

6. If you are the beginning pupil, try to tie the belt in one turn, using for a start the belt 160-170 cm long. Further, with increase in experience, you will be able to tie the belt on two turns in due form.
