The badminton for most of people is the beach or country entertainment. Most often it is played by children, and the game is considered frivolous. But if to learn rules, to pull the dividing goal net and to be trained - it is possible to organize the real competitions to friends.
The sports version of badminton means the organization of the platform and stock in due form. For this purpose mark the flat platform of 13.4 by 5.18 m in size and divide it across. At the edges of the dividing goal net establish stances 1.55 m high on which pull the goal net with cells from 15х15 mm to 20х20 mm.
In "beach" option the game goes without goal net up to 10 or 15 points.
Also for the game buy the shuttlecock (synthetic or from the stopper, skin and feathers) and special rackets. Depending on the playing style the athletes choose to themselves rackets with the different length of the handle and the string tension, and their weight can be from 70 to 100 g.
The main objective of playing badminton is to beat away the shuttlecock crossed by the opponent through the goal net and to make it so that he couldn't send this apparatus back. The contact of the shuttlecock of the earth is set off as the point. It is possible to play in private or teams two persons. Anyway the game begins with draw on which choose halves of court and the first server. It serves on platform diagonal, from the left or its right edge. The direction of kick - from below up, the shuttlecock at the same time has to be lower than the level of the waist. If the opponent beat away the shuttlecock - draw begins until that falls to court. If the point was received by the opponent crossing, then cross passes to it. If the point was won by the server - he keeps the right of cross. In case of the pair game the partners in team serve in turn.
Each player receives one point if: - the opponent didn't beat away the shuttlecock, and that fell to the ground in field boundaries; - his opponent himself sent the shuttlecock for field boundaries; - the second player received the foul, concerned the goal net the racket or the body or couldn't serve. Counting of points can be conducted by old or new rules. In the first version of the man play the game until one of opponents scores 15 points, women - 11. Since 2006 all official competitions go up to 21 points in each party. If players established the draw at 20:20, for the victory two more points are required for them. As option, the one who the first will score already 30 points wins. Usually the match consists of three games.
In each game it is possible to take the break up to 60 seconds, but only when one of opponents scores 11 points. Between games of the pause don't exceed 2 minutes.
Having won in the previous game, the player or team acquire the right of cross in the following. At the same time before each party they change sides of the platform, and in the third part — after 11 points.
The referee can announce the disputed issue and stop the game in several cases: - when the player served, and his opponent wasn't ready to it; - both opponents at the same time violated rules; - the shuttlecock broke in flight or got stuck in the goal net , etc. In this situation the players start draw anew.
