Press of a bar lying it is considered one of the most popular general exercises both among men, and among women. Annually hundreds of professionals and amateur athletes compete in this discipline, however not many of them gain the real recognition on the sports arena. Today we will in detail consider the basic rules of performance of a press lying and also we learn what standards are considered as the most successful.
Rules of performance of exercise
In order that results of a press lying were included at competitions of any level, when performing productive approach it is necessary to adhere to the following recommendations:
- headboard of a bench it is necessary to arrange before the chief judge;
- when performing approach the back and buttocks of the athlete have to adjoin to a bench densely;
It is important! If the athlete does not need the help of assistants, they have to leave immediately a scaffold before capture of weight, otherwise its result will not be counted.
- the surface a foot has to adjoin to a floor densely. The separation of heels from a floor is allowed, but socks are forbidden to be torn off;
- for stability, it is authorized to athlete to use various supports, however their size should not exceed 45х45 cm;
- it is authorized to athlete to use the insuring assistants (from 2 to 4). It is authorized to them to remove a signature stamp from racks, at the same time judges are forbidden to block the review;
- the bar moves on straight arms, it is strictly forbidden to establish a shell on a breast or the bent hands;
- at the successful fellow of a signature stamp the interval between brushes should not exceed 0.81 m;
- it is not forbidden to use unilateral capture or a reverse grip of a signature stamp;
- after removal of a signature stamp from racks the athlete has to move it to the lower situation and wait for team for breakthrough;
- it is authorized to lower a bar in any point of a breast which is from a belt zone to shoulders;
- raising of a bar is carried out only at the command of the chief judge ("Press"), it is given at once after lowering of a shell on a breast;
- for performance of a press the athlete is given only one command;
- the result is counted only after full straightening of elbows, at the same time the signature stamp with a weight should not fail inside or be shaken. The easy movement of a signature stamp in the horizontal direction is not forbidden;
- at successful capture of weight the judge gives the Rack command then it is possible to return a signature stamp on racks.

Standards for a press lying WPC
Standards of league WPC provide themselves a complex of the international standards and rules establishing the principles of competitions in accurate rules.
But, despite this, athletes of league often use the various chemical medicines promoting growth of muscles and increase in their effectiveness. For this reason athletes of WPC often have more strict requirements to final sports results.

We recommend to examine effective exercises with a bar for female buttocks.
Standards of AWPC
The league AWPC, unlike WPC, does not recognize doping use therefore such competitions provide obligatory testing for identification of such substances in the athlete's organism.
Despite more strict requirements to athletes, in AWPC competitions of the judge are less exacting to the end results of athletes.
