What methods are used in practice of Hatha yoga

Today we will sort methods which are used in practicians of yoga. Let's make it on the example of Hatha yoga. Such methods at us two, and they are contrast of each other. And here is how to combine them and as with their help to achieve the maximum result, we also will talk.

The first method which we will sort is the Energy method. It is that, practicing Hatha yoga asanas, we try to trust in the feelings and as much as possible take pleasure when performing.

It is possible to compare it to the state when we only woke up in the morning, anywhere slowly, we stretch, we yawn. We enjoy awakening process! We don't force ourselves, we listen to the body and we grant his desires.

For example, carrying out the pose ""bending to straight legs standing"", we don't set to ourselves the purpose to reach legs the head or to bend down just strongly. Our purpose if we practice the asana by the Energy method, this receiving pleasure from process. We are in the pose so much, so much we want, at some point our body will ask to bend stronger.

We, povinuyas to his desire, in the weakened state bend below to legs. It is possible even to tell that the body itself bends, and we watch process and we derive pleasure from such manner of performance. Our movements are soft, smooth, we don't force to anything ourselves. It is also the Energy method. It is also called the Maternal method.

Its contrast can be considered the method of Consciousness or the Fatherly method. When performing the asana by such method we make efforts. We try to cave in, bend below, somewhere it is stronger to pull muscles.

Here it is very important to distinguish when we make efforts for performance and we rejoice from what we overcome ourselves, from when violence begins. And violence as we already know, doesn't have the place in yoga! Where there is the violence, the yoga comes to an end.

Overcoming itself, we plunge into the pose more deeply, we are proud of the fact that the body obeys us. Our muscles at such approach resist, we is ascetic, but without bringing to unpleasant feelings, we overcome ourselves.

But both at the first method performance, and at the second, at the background always there has to be the joy. Or it is the joy of the permission to, or the joy of overcoming itself! Such is approach of yoga! Any other approach won't bring us long-term result.

Remarkably, when the yogi uses both of these methods in the practice. And the best when both methods are present at performance of the same asana, replacing each other. At first we use the Energy method, we receive the pose, we allow the body to relax in it. When the body gets used to the pose, we consciously increase loading, passing to performance by the Consciousness method.
