The baseball is very popular in the USA, in Japan and even in Venezuela, China and South Korea. However in Russia this game sport isn't really lit in spite of the fact that the mass culture gradually stirs to it interest.
The country ancestor of baseball traditionally is considered the USA. It is considered to be that play modern baseball by the rules developed by the resident of New York Alexander Kartright in 1845.
General rules
As well as any game, baseball begins with participants. There are two teams including 9 (sometimes 10) players who in turn play in attack and protection. The task of the defended party is in to allowing forwards to score points, having run all four bases of the field of play and to return to "house".
The field of play is divided into two parts: "инфилд" — the internal part representing the square with the party of 27 m 45 cm on which corners bases are located, "аутфилд" — the part of the field between the square and the protection. In the center of the square the so-called pitchersky hill is located, and the first base is considered "house". The player from the defending team, "pitcher" (from English pitch — cross), throws the baseball ball towards "house" where there is "better" — the beating-away participant from the attacking team. After the better made a save, he begins to run towards the second base, and team players of the defense have to catch made a save and by means of him to sideline the running player, in the out. For this purpose there are several ways: - swagger out: the defensive player with the ball got up on base before running it reached; - graund-out: option the swagger out – the defensive player threw the ball to other player standing on base before running it reached; - Fly out: the ball which is beaten away, but not concerned the earth was caught by the defensive player; - tag out: the participant of team of the defense touched the ball running when that was between bases; - also the player goes to the out if it couldn't make a save three times in a row - it is called the strike out.
Victory conditions
The point, or "wounds" (from English Run - to run), is awarded to the attacking team if the player could pass all bases. The so-called homerun is reached in case the better could make a save, and that took off for field boundaries, but flew by between special penal masts. This kick allows to gather the point beating away and everything running. The team which scored more points for 9 periods, or innings, the match wins. Every time when three team players of attack went to the out, teams are interchanged the position. Thus, each inning consists of 6 outs. In case the quantity of points of teams is identical, the additional inning is appointed. Rules of baseball help to develop the set of the most various strategies of the game that does it by the most interesting leisure for people of all layers and age.
