Except a surprising zoo this reserve entices tourists and travelers to have a good time in an environment of lakes and ponds. Krom of that, the trees and bushes collected from all climatic zones deserve attention. In the territory in 30 square kilometers more than 1000 representatives of fauna live, you can feed some of hands. The main feature of Askania-Nova is that here bright rare animals from Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa, America, in difference from other park zones are brought together. It would be desirable to note that the reserve represents such animals: bisons, buffalo s, antelopes, etc. The pony, fallow deer and small small animals live in the steppe: from mice to ermines. By the way, the reserve Askaniya-Nova is included into the 100 great reserves and parks list.
Often on pages of magazines and newspapers it is noted that it is possible to call this reserve really the museum under the open sky. It is caused by the fact that here ancient barrows, the stone remains of ancient tribes demonstrating development of a civilization at a certain historical stage remained.
Except bright and saturated fauna in the Askaniysky steppe contains not less than 400 species of flowers and herbs. Among them it would be desirable to note such: buttercups, tulips, hyacinths, irises, camomiles, carnations. In total there are 150 species of trees. The Crimean pine, an ash-tree, a kolonnovidny oak, weeping willows belongs to this number.
Not less important fact is that the reserve is proud of the feathery inhabitants. Here it is possible to see about 60 bird species. Especially often cranes, partridges, a flamingo, a steppe eagle, parrots, pheasants, ostriches African, bustards meet. Small small animals are also noteworthy: hamsters, jerboas, mice.
In spite of the fact that in the territory of the reserve there were military operations, it did not prevent creators of this unique park to present the rich world of animals and plants in a beautiful view. Annually Askaniya - Nova is visited by tens of thousands of tourists who are ready at least for an instant to approach the real nature created by centuries-old history.
