valley of Narcissuses is incredible beauty the treasure of Transcarpathia embodied in unique flora which was described only in legends and stories earlier. This biospheric reserve was stretched nearby with the city of Hust, in only 4 kilometers from it. Only in May it is possible to observe magnificent natural phenomena here - revival of the Valley of Narcissuses.
The reserve covers the territory in 250 hectares where sprouts 500 types of fauna, 15 of which enter the list endangered therefore enter the Red List. Nartsissovy fields which can be compared to the nature in the Alps and the Balkans are considered as the main attraction of the natural park.
As a rule, blossoming of narcissuses is observed at the beginning of May, but happens so that they begin to blossom at the end of the month. Especially decorative flowers deserve attention, them more than 30 thousand are presented. Often they are used for preparation of drugs and soothing medicines.
Scientists conducted numerous researches during which they defined what on an uzkolisty narcissus conducts the history with Ice Age. Though the local community stores a few other version of these events, disclosing tourists and travelers beautiful legends of emergence of a narcissus. It would be desirable to mention one of them.
In waters of the Hustets River there lived 2 deities: nymph Liriopa and god Kefiss. Once their son Nartsiss in these waters saw the reflection and long could not admire himself. Having fallen in love with own shape, the guy died of melancholy though earlier the soothsayer predicted happy and long life, but only if that does not see the real face. Nartsiss having incredible beauty, but cold heart led carefree life, drawing attention of nymphs. Once the Moon fell in love with him, but its feelings were not mutual. Gods could not look at all this with impunity and decided to punish Narcissa a damnation which shortly and ruined it. After the beautiful young man there were snow-white carpets shrouded in picturesque flowers. They will captivate not only the appearance, but also refined aroma which supplements a grandiose show

Daily the reserve is visited by more than 200 tourists, in May this number reaches 1000. Eyewitnesses note that 15 years ago the valley was more saturated, than now, but, nevertheless, it still remains a living legend of Transcarpathia. Its beauty cannot be described words, probably, in Ukraine there are no so beautiful natural objects as the valley of Narcissuses any more.
