Pine nuts are seeds of the Siberian cedar, the distant relative of the Mediterranean pine (stone pine). 2. To cook pine nuts, put in a saucepan them so much how many you plan to eat. Pour water that it completely covered nuts. It is necessary to cook 15-20 minutes. Drain water and click nut across, so you will need less efforts, and the kernel will remain whole.

Clean kernels of pine nuts from a cover with scalding and remove a thin skin by means of a dry towel. Fill nuts in well warmed dry frying pan in one layer. At once begin to stir slowly quickly with their wooden spoon or a rake that they didn't burn. Gradually reduce preparation temperature. Roast pine nuts of 5-10 minutes, depending on that how damp they got on a frying pan.
