Make the real chewing gum like ""Orbit"", Stimorola or ""Lavas from"" in house conditions won't turn out: such chewing gum is cooked on the special equipment from synthetic polymers. And here you will be able to make simpler chewing gum without any problem.
It is required to you
- Coniferous pitch or pitch of a cherry tree
- birch sap.
Instruction
1. It is possible to make chewing gum of wood pitch: pitch of coniferous trees (for example, larches) or pitch of a cherry tree best of all will be suitable for this purpose. Chewing gum from these pitches will turn out very fragrant and toothsome.
2. To make chewing gum, collect bark pieces on which are available accumulate pitches. Put it in a colander or any other perforated ware.
3. Place a colander over the container with water (best of all to use a usual pan), cover and put on fire.
4. As soon as water begins to boil, bark will begin to pine on ""water bath"" and to emit pitch and juice which will flow down in water, collecting there.
5. When from bark all pitch (it will occur approximately in half an hour after the beginning of boiling) is evaporated, cool water and pull out from it pitch.
6. Roll the turned-out mix in sausage and cut pieces of equal thickness. That chewing gum turned out sweet, strew pieces with icing sugar. Inwrap each piece in candy wrappers from under candies not to allow drying. Chewing gum is ready!
7. Birch sap is also an excellent basis for preparation of chewing gum. Split birch bark, put in a copper with water and put on fire. When from bark juice is emitted, get it from a copper and you cook the turned-out liquid until juice doesn't thicken and won't settle on a bottom.
