The potato cake, as well as dishes which are earlier described by me, is a great way to show the culinary imagination without expensive products and an opportunity to spoil a dish.

Depending on desire of the hostess, such casserole can be as nourishing, with a fatty meat and other additives, and fast, only with vegetables. Solve only to you. And still the potato cake perfectly is suitable for not really skillful or very busy hostesses.

The recipe of a simple potato cake from puree

Take it: potato half a kilo, a half of a glass of milk, egg, a desi tablespoon, 1 head of onions (small), 200-250 g of mincemeat, salt to taste.

We peel potatoes, we cook. We fry forcemeat with onions.

We do of puree potato with egg, milk, oil. In a form for roasting we spread (oiled) or deep frying pan puree layers, forcemeat, again puree. The surface of casserole can be greased with a desi or a yolk of egg, and it is possible just to strew with bread crumbs or a grated cheese. We put casserole in an oven on average fire and we bake to a golden crust.

Give on a table hot. If desired it is possible to add sour cream, mayonnaise …

Helpful advice: when you pick casserole, add a few boiled dry mushrooms to forcemeat. Also when frying forcemeat, it is possible to add there practically any vegetables (frozen or crude, cut by small pieces).

Helpful advice: you shouldn't do a potato cake too thick (to impose many layers) as in that case you just risk to overdry some layers not the pro-furnace or top and a bottom.
