Kvass is considered the best drink for removal of thirst during summer heat. 1. Slice loaf of black bread. Dry up bread in the warmed oven till dark brown color. Crush the roasted, dried up slices of bread in a mortar

2. Lay out the turned-out grain crumb in the big enameled pan, fill in with the boiling water and add sugar at the rate of 1 glass of sugar on 10 liters of water. Put to the warm place. In three days, kvass will be ready.

3. Filter the received kvass in separate ware, and to add a fresh grain crumb, sugar to a grain crumb, to fill in with boiled water and again to leave in the warm place. It is so possible to do several times, using an old grain leaven and adding a new grain crumb. This kvass not only satisfies thirst, but also perfectly is suitable for preparation of okroshka.
