1. It is necessary to avoid consumption of artificial sweeteners (saccharin, a sucralose, maltit, sorbite, xylitol, aspartame) because these substances cause indigestion, allergies and promote growth of cancer cells.

2. Natural sweeteners are a honey, maple syrup, treacle, coconut sugar, agave syrup, stevia extract. All these products are less processed, so, contain more useful nutritive matters. Honey and maple syrup are rich with antioxidants; treacle contains iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and coconut sugar is a good source of amino acids. Besides, all of them have lower glycemic index, than white sugar.

3. A lemon, an orange dried peel, berries (bilberry, raspberry, strawberry), pumpkin, a rhubarb - here only some list of products which can be used as natural sources of sugars.

4. Some of spices are sweet, for example fennel seeds. Cinnamon, nutmeg, an anise, a carnation, a vanilla extract, powder of a carob tree give a sweet taste and special aroma and also are used for preparation of various desserts, bringing a minimum of calories.

5. Speaking about dried fruits, here too there are many options of substitutes. Prunes, raisin, banana figs and apples are the most widespread. Also it is impossible to underestimate apricots, a fig, a cranberry, pineapple, mango and a papaya. All of them have the high content of iron, calcium, copper, magnesium, potassium.

6. Various fruit juices and fruit juice-syrup mixtures can be added for preparation of sweet cakes. Also bananas, apples, oranges and pineapples approach for this purpose.
