Calculation of number usually is required for drawing up the report and definition of an average indicator. Most often methods of calculation of this indicator are used by the companies for calculation of average number of the personnel working at a factory. There are certain rules of carrying out calculations which need to be known.
Instruction
1. It is impossible to count an average value of number from an equal method. This method has criteria and a framework. First, it is necessary to take a certain period. It can be, both month, and year, and several years. Everything depends on the ultimate goal set for this method.
2. Calculation will require first of all the list of working personnel for the period which is already defined for calculation. Plus accounting of such criterion as "exit/absence" for work.
3. Make initial sorting of data. It includes classification of all list of workers by the following criteria: work on the employment contract, seasonality of work (constant, temporary, seasonal), the number of the working owners of this organization. Do not join in calculations: the external employees working part-time; workers with the civil contract; the persons fired and who stopped execution of the obligations for the expiration in two weeks.
4. As it was told above, count average number for a certain period. For example, month. Average number consists of the sum of data on number for each day of a month (calendar). Include in this list also holidays (not workers), and weekend. You receive the total number which value needs to be divided into number of calendar days of month.
5. The scheme is simple: summarize total number for the chosen period and divide it on the number of days. Such scheme is applicable also to calculations of number for quarter, year, several years. On the basis of this formula it is possible to carry out the comparative analysis of number, to reveal its dynamics and to build forecasts.
