The tangent of angle is the relation of an opposite leg to adjacent. It is necessary to be able to define it as, knowing a tangent of angle, it is possible to find also a corner. It can be done by means of trigonometrical formulas.

It is required to you

Instruction

1. So, the easiest way to find a tangent of angle. If you were given sine and cosine of this corner, then to find a tangent, just divide a sine into a cosine.

2. The second way. If you were given only a cosine of the angle. There is such trigonometrical formula: 1+ tangent in a square =1/cosine in a square. Express a tangent from this formula. At you the following formula has to turn out: a tangent of angle = a root square of (1/cosine in a square-1). Count.

3. The third way. If you were given a cotangent of a corner and a sine of two such corners. There is such trigonometrical formula: cotangent + tangent of =1/sine two such corners. Express a tangent from this formula. At you the following formula has to turn out: tangent of angle of =1/sine two such corners cotangent. Count.

4. The fourth way. If you were given only a cotangent of this corner and a cotangent of two such corners. There is such trigonometrical formula: cotangent tangent =2*kotangens two such corners. Express a tangent from this formula. At you the following formula has to turn out: tangent of angle = cotangent-2*kotangens of two such corners. Count.

5. The fifth way. If you were given only a cosine of a double corner. There is such trigonometrical formula: a tangent in a square = (1 cosine of a double corner) / (1+ cosine of a double corner). Express a tangent from this formula. At you the following formula has to turn out: a tangent of angle = a root square of [(1 cosine of a double corner) / (1+ cosine of a double corner)]. Count.

6. The sixth way. If you were given a rectangular triangle, and it is necessary to find a tangent of any corner in it, and the opposite leg of this corner and adjacent is given. Then to find a tangent of this corner, just divide value of an opposite leg into value of adjacent. Now you know six ways of finding of a tangent of angle from the simplest to the most difficult. You also need the table of trigonometrical formulas. Having found a tangent if it is necessary, you can find a corner. It can be made by means of Bradis's table. To the contrary, on value of a corner you can look in it at its tangent.
