The simplest option of obtaining a large amount of smoke is a cultivation of naked flame, that is a fire. But even such easy way demands necessary preparatory actions, such as search of the place, combustible materials and god knows what else. Not less simple is offered to your attention, but a compact and effective way of receiving smoke. You can make independently a smoke grenade directly at home. This method is checked and safe (at full compliance with the recommendations described below).

- - baking soda,
- - potassium saltpeter (it can be got in any flower shop),
- - the most usual sugar,
- - empty matchboxes,
- - insulating tape,
- - gas stove.
Instruction
1. We take about 50 g of potassium saltpeter and the same amount of sugar, we mix them among themselves. We pour out the received mix in metal capacity, we put on fire. Mix it is necessary to stir slowly constantly. Gradually sugar is dissolved and turns into caramel. While it gets denser, it is possible to be engaged in matchboxes.
2. Further it is necessary to truncate a basis of a match box approximately on one centimeter. At assembly of a box it will turn out that capacity for contents will not be closed completely by a basis.
3. By this time mix begins to boil, it needs to be stirred constantly that did not burn. In the course of cooking it will gradually get denser. When mix reaches consistence of plasticine, we reduce a plate flame by a half, we wait when sugar gets a brown shade.
4. After mix accepted dark color, we remove it from fire. We take a soda teaspoon (without hillock), we pour out it in our mix. And at once we begin to mix quickly to bring down foam which begins to be formed. It is necessary to mix before formation of homogeneous mass. On consistence it has to remind plasticine.
5. Further we fill with the turned-out weight matchboxes until substance stiffened (in need of it it is possible to warm up a little). The offered amount of mix has to be enough approximately for 7-8 korobk.
6. After filling a box it is necessary to allow mix to cool down. It will stiffen about an hour, but if it is necessary to make it urgently, then it is possible to put a box for twenty minutes in the fridge. Mix will harden and will become as a stone.
7. After mix cooled down, it is necessary as it is possible to wind more densely than boxes with a vinyl insulating tape. The winding should be made so that finally at you it turned out so that the small site of mix looked out from under it. It will be just in that place where the box basis was cut off.
8. The smoke grenade is ready. Now it is necessary to set fire to it in that place where the prepared mix acts, to put on any firm nonflammable surface and to enjoy smoke representation.
