The essay - one of the most difficult types of tasks. It is necessary to express the thoughts, to reason the position, to note pluses and minuses of any phenomenon - and all this not a foreign language. To write the essay it is difficult even in Russian, but if you seized the principle of writing of the essay, then you will write the good composition in any language which you know.
Instruction
1. To write the essay in English, it is necessary for a start, in principle, to learn to write coherent texts in a foreign language. A certain level of proficiency in language is for this purpose necessary, certainly, but it, most likely, is already available for you if to you set such work. Now it is necessary to understand that with it to do. First, it is necessary to learn to think in language that then it is free to write down the thoughts paper. Secondly, it is necessary to read as much as possible, it is desirable in the original: usually, when you read in language much, it is simpler to express own thoughts. Be not afraid if at first at you it badly turns out: essays just are also written for practice of a written language in foreign language.
2. Getting to work directly on the text of the composition, write the plan in which all your thoughts on the set subject will be stated in a short form. Collect everything that you can tell in a heap. Arrange these points one after another that in your composition the logic did not suffer. If too many good thoughts turn out, look what most of all approach this subject: the essay is not the treatise, it is not necessary to write here everything that you know and that was thought up. It is enough to state the main information. Brevity, as we know, - the sister of talent.
3. Adjust the turned-out plan to the classical scheme of the essay: introduction, main part, conclusion. In the main part do not forget to state pluses and minuses. For example, if you were given the subject 'Kindergartens' state pluses and minuses of kindergartens in the composition, tell, it is worth or not sending the child to kindergarten. Do not forget about evidential material: mention own experience, experience of friends or acquaintances who already began to drive children in kindergarten.
4. Do not forget about stylistics. The essay corresponds to speech type ""reasoning"" therefore nobody waits from you for extensive descriptions of game rooms and bedrooms of that kindergarten where you were driven in the childhood. Nobody waits from you and a plot with the glany and minor heroes. The style has to be publicistic, with a certain number of parenthesises, the words indicating opinion of the author, and the special expressions separating one argument from another, and marking a sequence of thoughts (firstly, secondly, to begin with, to make a conclusion and so on).
5. The essay is not a free statement on a free subject, there are features and the rules therefore in such type of a task especially originality you will not flash. But after all try to add something special, some special expression, use all the creative potential to make the text not dull. Believe, the teacher will estimate it if it is the good teacher and to him important not only to put a plus in the magazine that the pupil handed over a task, but also to estimate the wards from different sides.
