The sum of figures of which any number consists can be used, for example, as simplest "checksum". By means of such sums the computer programs check integrity of transmitted data. Sometimes need to calculate this sum arises also at the living user of the computer. It has a choice from several solutions of this simple task.
Instruction
1. Put figures in mind if the initial number is not really big. If it contains too many categories, then use, for example, the Windows calculator. It is started by pressing of a combination of the keys WIN + R to the subsequent input of the calc team and click on the OK button. It is possible to make the same and on the Start-up button - in it it is necessary to reveal the section "Programs" through the menu, to pass into the section "Standard", then into the subsection "Office" and to choose the line "Calculator".
2. Summarize figures of initial number, clicking the corresponding button in the interface of the calculator, and then pressing a key with the sign "Plus". Buttons on the screen duplicate the same keys on the keyboard therefore you can use the interface or the keyboard at your choice. After input of the last from figures of number do not forget to press an equal-sign instead of plus.
3. Use any of Internet calculators if you want to receive result with the smallest efforts. For example, it can be the calculator which is built in the Google search engine. To use pass to the website of this system and print that number which sum of figures should be learned in the entry field of a search query. Then insert pluses between all entered figures and at once you will see required result - Google will count everything "on the fly", it is not necessary to press the button for sending request for the server.
4. Use the tabular editor of Microsoft Excel if there is no access to Internet and the calculator. After its start you enter consistently the figures making initial number, pressing the Enter key after each of them. Upon termination of input of all figures you receive the filled table column. To learn the sum of numbers in this column it is enough to allocate of it - just click heading of this column. The sum of figures can be seen in a status bar together with their average value and the number of categories of initial number.
