1. For a start buy color soluble salt, for example, dichloride or sulfate nickel. It is possible to buy this substance practically in any pharmacy or to order online. In case of impossibility to get the above-stated material, also usual table salt will approach.
2. Take a glass with clear water. Water and salt have to be in the ratio 1/2.5, i.e., for example, on 100 ml of water you need not less than 250 grams of salt. Slowly pour salt into water and stir before full dissolution.
3. Pour water in a metal vessel and put on fire. Constantly stirring slowly, heat water to receiving the oversaturated hydrochloric solution (if necessary it is recommended to add salt in addition.)
4. Remove the container with the received oversaturated solution and, without allowing to cool down, lower inside a small rope (woolen or any other nap thread as will help a crystal to fasten better on the basis of will be ideal).
5. During the next three days the salt crystallization begins. Too fast cooling of solution can cause the irregular and unattractive shape.
