Magnetic liquid hardens in the presence of magnetic field, but again gets fluidity at its disappearance. That to prepare it, nothing is required, except a magnet, a package, sand and oil.
Instruction
1. Wrap a magnet in a plastic bag. Bring it to the sand which is available on the beach or in even to an ordinary children's sandbox in the yard of your house. Iron ore which in most cases is present at sand in small amounts will be attracted to a package.
2. Bring a package to a vessel for collecting ore. Pull out from it a magnet, and ore will fall from a package surface in a vessel. Again wrap a magnet in a package. Repeat operation until ores it is not gathered so much how many it is located on a palm.
3. Having come home, carry out additional purification of ore of sand. For this purpose use the sheet of any non-magnetic material and also the same magnet wrapped in a package. Use method of separation of ore from sand the same, as during the previous operation.
4. Take a small glass from any non-magnetic material. It has to have so small volume that iron ore filled it approximately on one third. Then begin to add gradually to ore usual vegetable oil, at the same time mixing mix any non-magnetic subject, for example, the plastic pen without core. Stop to add oil when magnetic liquid has consistence of sour cream.
5. Pour all magnetic liquid in a tight transparent vessel with a non-magnetic cover. Do not try to use it inside. Bring a magnet to a vessel and look what will be.
6. Try to take for magnetic liquid a flat vessel, for example, to a ditch with the pasted transparent cover. Place under kyuvety electromagnets in a desirable configuration. Make for them the control unit on any to the scheme, convenient for you, for example, on the basis of the hardware Arduino platform or its clone. Do not forget about the diodes which are switched on in the return polarity parallel to electromagnets for protection of the control unit against extra currents. You receive the unusual indicator for the design, however, to work he will be only in horizontal position.
