1. Most often it is necessary to be at test loss for words to vowels or consonants which writing raises at you doubts. In a case with vowels the situation is rather simply. If the unaccented vowel is in a word root, you have to pick up to it single-root in which the same vowel will be under an accent. It is possible to give the word "big" as an example, and for it the word "more" will become test. If the unaccented vowel is not in a word root, and, for example, in a prefix, a suffix or the termination, such method of check will not approach, and you should be guided absolutely by other rules.
2. With consonants too sometimes there are problems. People pronounce a word and do not hear the concordant, however when writing a word it after all is necessary. It is known that such unpronounceable letters stand in the neighbourhood from one concordant for this reason they become unheard. In case you need to deal with writing of unpronounceable concordants, you can also use test words. You are faced by the following task: you have to pick up a cognate word in which this letter will be located before a vowel and will become heard, or you just make sure of its absence. The example can serve the word "local" and its check - "place".
3. In other cases, selecting a test word for an unpronounceable consonant, you can use a cognate word which will come to an end on this letter, for example, "honesty" - "honour". Change of a form of a word as a result of which the unpronounceable consonant will become said can become one more option of check. It is possible to give the word "sun" as an example. Changing its form, you can pick up such test word as "sun". Proceeding from similar check it becomes clear that the letter "l" in the word "sun" after all is necessary.
4. There is one more simple rule, using which, you can be at test loss for words for writing of the terminations of nouns at their change on cases. To perform this operation, define noun gender. For an example it is possible to sort the word "weather". You need to put this word in a dative case, but you doubt what letter to write in the termination. As the word "weather" has a feminine gender, as check you can choose for him the same word of a feminine gender in which the termination will be under an accent. Let it will be the word "wall". Put it in a dative case, and it will become clear to you that the letter "e" is written in the termination, therefore, and you will write the same letter in the word "weather" put in the same case. This rule works for nouns of any sort, however at a selection of a test word the sort needs to be considered. Special attention needs to be paid to the nouns terminating on "-mya" (an udder, a stirrup, a cinciput, a burden, etc.) which can be checked by the word "name" and also the nouns of a feminine gender terminating on "-iya", for example, "station". Such words can be checked by the word "rye" ("for stations" - "in a rye").
