Along with measurement of volume of substances in cubic meters and derivative of it (including cubic centimeters), the International System of Units of SI allows use of liter and derivative units of measure from it. Such duality maintains relevance of a problem of recalculation of volumes from cubic centimeters in liters and vice versa.
Instruction
1. You divide the known volume of substance measured in cubic centimeters, exactly on one thousand to determine its volume in liters. Since 1964 in the SI system the volume in one cubic decimeter is equated to one liter, and it is made by one thousand cubic centimeters. At the same time it must be kept in mind that since 1901 on 1964 liter not exactly 1000 cubic centimeters, and 1000.028 were considered. And before acceptance on August 1, 1793 in France of metric weights and measures the liter made about 83% of the today's value at all.
2. Use for the fast transfer from cubic centimeters to liters the converters of sizes which are posted online. For example, pass to the http://convert-me.com/ru/convert/volume page, find the Cubic Centimeter field in the section "Metric Measure" and enter into it the known value of volume. Then press the Count button and the script will place an equivalent of the entered value in the field "Litre". Along with it also other fields of this section will be filled - you will be able to see the same volume expressed in ten different derivative units from liter and cubic meter.
3. Use the calculator at impossibility to make calculations "in mind" and lack of Internet access. For example, the Windows OS regular calculator has the built-in converter of units of measure in which also the possibility of the translation from cubic centimeters is provided in liters. It is possible to open this calculator, for example, having pressed a combination of the keys WIN + R, having printed the calc team in the entry field and having pressed the Enter key.
4. Open the section "Look" in the menu of the calculator and choose the line "Translation of Sizes". In the drop-down list placed under the inscription "Category" choose the line "Volume". In the Initial Size list choose "Cubic centimeter". In the Final Size list choose the line "Litre".
5. Click the entry field of the calculator and print the volume measured in cubic centimeters. Then press the Translate button, and in the entry field the calculator will display an equivalent of the specified volume in liters.
