The purpose of scientific knowledge is studying surrounding reality from the physical and social points of view. The physical world includes everything that is around people as well the person, and social – difficult relationship between people.

Physical world

Studying a material world - a prerogative of the natural and exact sciences. They investigate the existing natural phenomena and processes, regularities are found and scientific hypotheses are made. The knowledge purpose science of the world can be theoretical or practical. The theoretical purpose is aimed at finding comprehensive knowledge of the studied object, and practical – consists in the embodiment in life of knowledge gained by science.

At the same time the term "physical world" is submitted rather extensively and consists not only of surrounding people of objects, living organisms and the natural phenomena on Earth, but also includes all immense Universe. To survive to the person in this life full of contradictions, it is necessary to obtain as much as possible information on it, to investigate its features, regularities, to reveal the essence. In process of development of scientific knowledge, vital conditions improved, the relation of people to the nature, to animals and to each other changed.

However if to speak about objectivity, scientific knowledge represents perception of the world around through interior, and it does it a little subjective. Nevertheless use of various devices allows to bring closer knowledge to objectivity. Generalized truth about the object of study is an ultimate goal. The objective truth revealed by science is put into practice.

Social world

The research of the social world is connected with the society, various communications arising in it. And the purpose of scientific knowledge in this case is creation of various behavioural models which facilitate the solution of the social problems inevitable in any society. The humanities among which psychology, sociology, linguistics, etc. are engaged in studying this world. They investigate any objects and the phenomena which are not seen to an eye, and difficult interior which cannot just be measured, calculated, perceived, smelled. And not all gives in to logic here. However the inner self influences creation of interpersonal communications, their development and the termination. The created behavior models successfully are applied in many industries among which economy, policy, education, medicine, etc. The science which is in constant search of new knowledge of already known things contributes to the material development and spiritual growth of mankind. Many ancient civilizations reached peak of the development exactly thanks to scientific knowledge.
