In a broad sense life is understood as existence. It is the central object of study in ontology. Life is divided into several forms. The concept "life" is defined by a question: "What is real". In philosophy the life resists to a non-existence.
Life form
In terms of ontology the life is understood as something only as this term is used for designation of the world as uniform essence. Life is divided into several forms: life of things or processes — is included into it life of the nature in general and life of the things created by the person; life of the person - his life as in general, and in the world of the things created by the nature or him; life of spiritual – individual spiritual life and not individual life; life of social is divided into two views – life of the individual and life of society.
Life of the individual
For the individual the life is limited to time and space. Nevertheless it enters human life, life of the nature and social life in general. Life of the individual is a reality of one person, objective in relation to consciousness of some people or generations. The personality not just exists in structure of life, thanks to ability to knowledge, it influences it, both in positive, and in negative sense. For beneficial effect on life, the individual needs accurate understanding of in this system and understanding of responsibility for this system.
Life of the individual - integrity of a body and soul. Its feature is interaction of the complete person who is in unity of a body and soul, relation of the person and the world as social being. Without one of three components of life of the individual, people will not be able normally to function and it will be defective.
Life of society
Life of society - result of change and development of the nature, under the influence of the individual and society in general. Modern life of society is characterized: technologization, institutionalizing, globalization, informatization. Technologization means that in life of modern society the technologies improving and facilitating life of both the individual, and society in general become the major resources. The institutionalizing says that society becomes more organized and the main functions are performed by social institutes. This process consists of several stages - formation of the requirement solved collectively, creation of a common goal, consciousness of a system for functioning of any given institute. Presently there is no civilized society without social institutes. Globalization rather became recently a significant element of life of society. It is process of distribution on all cultures of the world of one anthropological standard, forcing out already accepted. It happened because of dependence of some regions on others that led to compression of social space. Due to globalization and technologization, there was an informatization - thanks to creation of the Internet, to digital technologies information transfer accelerated and its volumes increased. In this regard society became more alive to react to various events in the world.
