Skolokovo – the scientific and technological center for commercialization and development of new technologies which is located in the Moscow region. The gas giant decided to construct the "футурополис" which tasks will include developments of projects on improvement of activity in the sphere.
The innovative city which is going to construct Gazprom on scales presumably will be less Skolkovo. In the center, works on improvement of a technical component in gas industry will be carried out. This decision was made because it becomes more difficult to extract fuel. Among places which Gazprom looks after for construction of the center the main thing occupies the city of Troitsk situated near Moscow.
By means of innovations the gas concern will have an opportunity to compete with other gas countries and also will increase profitability and efficiency of many projects. In this regard internal restructuring will be made: for example, between departments of the monopolicy it is planned to carry out redistribution of functions. So, if earlier the strategic development department was engaged in a scientific part of monopoly, then the department of perspective development will supervise it now.
Besides, in Troitsk where Gazprom headquarters is located, the special centers which will begin to develop innovations in the field of transportation of natural gas will be created and will be engaged in projects in allied industries. These centers will have not regional, but general value. It should be noted that Gazprom has for a long time the scientific and technical complex which part several institutes are. All of them work in different segments of gas industry, developing the technologies corresponding to the specifics. However the state concern plans to create strengthening of an innovative component of gas production and transportation. Perhaps, Gazprom in the scientific and technical plan will bypass even Skolkovo, being in the beginning of an innovative way as the concern purposefully is engaged in research, developmental and technological works. The company has developments on the systems of a truboprovodka of the regional direction, Gazprom can influence increase in activity of scientific and technical institutes, organize engineering structures.
