Instruction

1. The algorithm of opening of the general access to folders depends on what version of Windows you use. In the outdated, but still popular Windows XP, it is necessary to open "Conductor", further select in it (or create) that folder in which you intend to place the general files. Open by click of the right button on the folder a context menu in which select the General Access item. The window of properties of the folder with the selected Access tab should appear. In the subparagraph "Network general access" it is necessary to click a hyperlink "include access without the assistance of the master". The small window where you should select It Is Simple to Include Access option will appear.

2. After these actions the type of the Access tab will change, and two new options will become available for the choice: "Open the general access" and "Allow change of files". If you want your fellow workers or neighbors to have absolute access to folder contents, that is could delete and add files and also edit them directly in the folder, then it should be noted ticks both points and if it is only required to give the chance to browse contents, then it is enough to select the first option.

3. In Windows 7 some preliminary preparation will be required. You should come into "Control panel" and to select the Control Center of Networks item. Then to click on "Change additional parameters". Having clicked on an icon in the form of an arrow, include the Network Detection and General Access parameters, and here "Access to shared folders" and "Access with the password" should be turned off.

4. Now it is possible to pass to setup of properties of access of the specific folder for what open a context menu of the folder the right mouse button, select "The general access", and in the appeared menu – "Specific Users" where you need to set permissions for each user. It was necessary only to click "General Access", located in the same tab, and the folder will become available from other machines connected to a local area network.
