If the folder contains some files, it is possible to transport its contents by e-mail, having attached to the letter each file separately and having specified the name of the folder in the text. The recipient will be able independently to create the folder with such name and to place in it the sent files. However if in the folder dozens of files, this operation takes away the lot of time and traffic. It is more convenient to use the program archiver for packaging of the folder together with contents in one file.

Instruction
1. Open Windows conductor double click on a label "My computer" on a desktop or clicking of the keyboard shortcut WIN + E. Find the folder which needs to be sent, and click its right mouse button. In a context menu choose the packaging command in archive. Depending on the installed archiver the formulation of this command can differ, but the sense will be identical. For example, if you use WinRAR, and folder is called "Texts", then the packaging command in a context menu will be formulated so: "Add to Тексты.rar archive". If you select this line in the menu, but not "Add to archive", then WinRAR without additional questions will create the Тексты.rar file and will place in it the folder together with contents.
2. Make sure that the size of the received archive is not too big for sending by e-mail. Practically all public web services have restrictions for the size of the sent files. If your folder in packed form does not keep within the set limit, then the archive should be broken into several parts. If you use WinRAR, then the rar-file can be transformed to multivolume archive. For this purpose open it double click, click the keyboard shortcut ALT + Q and click the Compression button. In the lower left corner of a settings window of compression there is a field with the name "Separate into Volumes by the Size (in Bytes)" - specify in it extreme value of weight of each separate file of archive. For example, for restriction enter in 15 megabytes ""15 m"" there (without quotes). Then click OK and in the following window the same button. The archiver will repack your folder in several files, and initial will delete and will submit the report on the done work. Close both remained opened the WinRAR windows - the archive is ready to be shipped.
3. Create the letter in which you will send the archived folder. If you use the program of an e-mail client installed in the computer, then for attachment to the letter of the prepared files it is enough to select of them in the conductor and to drag on the text of the letter a mouse. And when using any of mail online services (Gmail.com, Mail.ru, etc.), find in its interface the reference for attachment of attachments. For example, in Gmail service it is placed under the data entry field of a subject of the letter and supplied with the icon of a paper clip with the inscription "Attach the File". Click it, press the Browse button, find the first of files of archive and click the Open button. If files more than one, then use the next line of attachment of the file - it will appear below with the inscription "Attach One More File".
When all parts of archive are attached to the letter, send it to the addressee, without having forgotten to write the accompanying text and a subject of the message.
