The decimal fraction is a special case of usual fraction (correct or wrong). Its feature that a denominator always is number ten built in any positive degree (10, 100, 1000, etc.). 1. If it is necessary to put decimal fractions in a column, then it becomes as well as for integers, but with one feature. It is that if in one of the put fractions the number of signs after a comma are less, than in another, then missing categories supplement with zero. For example, to calculate in a column the sum of decimal fractions 1.42 and 3.1415 it is necessary to write one over another numbers 1.4200 and 3.1415 and to put the figures placed one above another starting with the most right category. The number of categories after a comma in number sum has to be equal to the number of categories in each of the put numbers, but if the figure (or several figures) appears in zero on the right, then it can be rejected.

If it is necessary just to learn the sum of decimal fractions, and to count it in mind there is no opportunity, then it is possible to use any calculator including the Windows OS standard calculator. For its start open the main menu on the Start-up button, pass into the section "All Programs", then into the subsection "Standard" and select in it the Calculator item. It is possible same to make differently - press a combination of the keys WIN + R, in the appeared dialog box make the calc team and press the Enter key. The interface of the calculator is very simple and the procedure of addition should not cause difficulties. At first enter the first of fractions, using the keyboard or clicking the corresponding buttons of the interface of the calculator.
