Fresh fruit, vegetables, plants to small animals are strictly forbidden to be given because the use of these products in food can lead to a lethal outcome. The chinchilla should be fed with the special sterns which are available on sale in pet-shops. As delicacy it is possible to add a piece of dried carrots or apple to a diet, a little bit oats seeds, a pinch of dry hay. It is possible to give couple of highlights also.

Purity – guarantee of health

The chinchilla completely corresponds to this saying as the most favourite her occupation is bathing. The small animal prefers to bathe not in water, and in sand and can be engaged in it in hours. So the animal looks after the invaluable fur. To provide to a chinchilla all conditions for acceptance of "sandy bathtubs", it is necessary to place a special bath in a cage. Sand for these procedures has to be special too, it is possible to buy it in shop. It is impossible to use usual river or construction sand at all.
