But there will not always be a lot of time to provide due care for favourites therefore many try not to get thoroughbred small fishes, and are limited unpretentious, but bright, multi-colored, with smart tails of the guppy. Besides, their cultivation – business not difficult.
Guppies can contain in any conditions provided to them. But nevertheless, if you want to see healthy and colourful small fishes and also dream to be engaged in cultivation and selection of the guppy, then it is necessary to take care that water volume in an aquarium was on 2 liters on each male and on 4 liters on a female.
Lighting has to be 12 hours a day, water filtration is desirable. Preferable water temperature – 24-26os. Guppies are peaceful small fishes therefore the same medium-sized, quiet types can be their neighbors. The aquarium has to contain open sites for swimming of small fishes and secluded corners for reproduction and cultivation of whitebaits.
In water where there live small fishes of the guppy, for prevention of infectious diseases it is possible to add table or sea salt in calculation of 5 grams on 10 liters of water.
Representatives of the guppy treat viviparous small fishes, they give birth to whitebaits. For cultivation of the guppy select the best whitebaits and grow up them till puberty in spacious capacity, providing with rational feeding. When whitebaits reach three-week age, transplant them in different aquariums, considering bases of sex. During this period at males the first beams of an anal fin are extended, and females have dark dots on a back part of a paunch.

Appearance of whitebaitsThe spawning area where there is a pregnant female of the guppy, needs to be set with fine-leaved plants that after the delivery whitebaits could hide there. Before childbirth the paunch of a female increases and becomes square. Spawning can last about a day. Whitebaits fall on an aquarium bottom, and then climb to the surface. After the birth of whitebaits, the female needs to be removed in the general aquarium. Young growth feed with various sterns, a live water flea, considering the sizes. Whitebaits grow slowly, and males when reach puberty, cease grow. Their fastest maturing is influenced by water temperature, the higher – the better. The aquarium with the guppy does not bring big trouble. The minimum leaving, your care, good nutrition of a whitebait will present you the sea of positive emotions, sense of responsibility for favourite pets. Cultivation of the guppy will develop esthetic taste at you and your children.
