The thirst of cats for wires is well-known. The majority of kittens "grind" about them the growing teeth and many adult animals like "to have a snack" as required on an Internet cable or a wire from earphones or the charger. How quickly and irrevocably to disaccustom a cat to this addiction?
What ways of breaking from wires happen
If wires are not hidden in a cable channels — to save them from sharp cat's teeth rather difficult. By means of such means it is possible to disaccustom quickly to gnaw wires even those cats at whom this habit took roots long ago and very strongly.
Why cats gnaw wires
The reasons for which cats are so not indifferent to rubber wires, a little. Kittens often gnaw them during change of teeth, adult animals thus, perhaps, try to fill a lack of the firm food helping them to clean teeth and gums from a raid. And, having disaccustomed an animal to wires, not superfluous will be to offer it in exchange something, allowing "to sharpen teeth" without risk to receive electric shock: toys which can be gnawed; rubber balls and rings; dried cat's delicacies, etc.
If the adult cat who was earlier not fond of wires suddenly began to show to them interest — it can be sign that her diet is not balanced or the fact that the animal does not receive sufficient attention. In that case it is worth finding more time for games and other classes with a pet and also to visit the veterinarian and if necessary to modify a diet.
