Instruction
1. Only the smallest desktop aquarium of spherical shape can be not equipped with anything. Just place in it fishes, periodically you feed them and change water. Oxygen will be dissolved in it due to natural diffusion.
2. Larger aquariums (volume about 30 liters) should be equipped with microcompressors without fail. They are two types: with the rotating krylchatka and vibration. The first are more reliable, but the second are more maintainable and therefore they at the owner able to repair them serve even longer. Surely read in the instruction to the compressor whether it is possible to hold it included round the clock, or it demands periodic shutdown.
3. If just to lower a hose from the microcompressor in water, not numerous large bubbles rising with high speed will turn out. It not only is ugly: they reach border between water and air so quickly that oxygen diffusion almost does not manage to happen. Besides, such bubbles can disturb and even to injure fishes. That to avoid it, use nozzles on a hose. They force compressed air to pass through a set of a time. From it bubbles become more, but they are reduced in sizes significantly and rise rather slowly. Most often such nozzles are disguised under the stones lying at the bottom of an aquarium.
4. There are fishes who are comfortably feeling at bigger water temperature, than room. For them it is necessary to equip an aquarium with the heater. It (25 or 50 W) choose power depending on vessel volume. It is the best of all to use such device which provides nominal temperature, being constantly included. The heaters working together with the regulator have power reserve. In case of the output of the automatic machine out of operation water will be superheated that threatens its inhabitants with death. Anyway operation of the heater should be stopped immediately in case of violation of its tightness.
5. It is expedient to equip rather large aquarium (volume about 50 liters) with the filter. This device constantly passes water through the filtering element by means of the small pump. But consider that it is necessary to change water all the same, though is much more rare. Besides, in process of pollution it will be necessary to replace also the filtering element.
6. Illumination of an aquarium is necessary not only for observers, but also its inhabitants. By one of them rather visible light, and others need also a little ultraviolet. In the second case use only such ultra-violet lamps which are specially intended for application in an aquarium. Any other are dangerous both to people, and to fishes. No lamps can be immersed in water even only a flask - if it breaks, water can reach electrodes. It is the best of all to use completely tight or low-voltage lamps.
7. The service equipment increases comfort of the address with an aquarium. First of all, the extender at which each socket has the separate switch concerns to it. It allows to operate separately compressors, heaters, filters and lamps, without pulling out their fork. It is important that all switches in such extender were bipolar. And that the nobility whether temperature is not too big (or it is small), install from the inside of one of aquarium sidewalls the thermometer on a sucker. They should not be mercury at all.
