The American company CND, one of leaders in production of nail varnishes, has a few years ago pleased fashionistas with excellent novelty.
The new covering under the name Shellac became world trend in the field of nail design at once. Means represents hybrid of modern gel and varnish, differing in stability and durability. It does not provoke allergy, does not damage health of nails. The Shellac procedure, more precisely, technology of coating application is rather simple, however, experts advise the first time to test new manicure in salon to see all subtleties of its drawing. After that it is already possible to try covering without participation of the professional, previously having provided itself with necessary tools.
To execute Shellac in house conditions, prepare: • oil or serum for mitigation of cuticle;
- stick (it is better from orange tree) for processing of cuticle; • manicure tweezers and scissors; • files forms, fine-grained for giving, to nails and also grinding bar and the polishing file from glass or leather; • transparent covering base; • colourless shellac; • color shellac; • UF-lamp for drying of covering; • 99% spirit solution (isopropyl); • means for removal of shellac. Order of putting Shellac: 1. Place the necessary equipment and means on well lit table. 2. Light the UF-lamp. 3. Make 5-minute soap hand bath, rinse brushes with clear warm water, rub off dry. 4. Cover cuticles of nail plates with the softening means. In 3-4 minutes stick carefully remove the softened skin to the nail basis. Accurately cut off strongly grown cuticle. 5. Give to marigold the desirable form by means of file, polish surface and tips of nail plates. Shellac perfectly looks on nails own and artificial, the different length and different form: amygdaloid, square, "cat's", stiletoobrazny, etc. 6. Apply even layer of basic covering which will give to nails additional fortress on each nail and at the same time will level their surface. 7. Dry nails with the put covering under lamp UV-radiation. On time - not longer 15 seconds. 8. Choose Shellac of the necessary shade and cover with it nails, trying that varnish-gel has laid down thin layer and evenly. Dry in the UF-lamp within two-three minutes. 9. Apply color varnish-gel repeatedly, too with thin layer. And again under lamp for 2 minutes. 10. Paint over marigold transparent (other name "top") shellac and in 20 seconds remove it with the tampon moistened in spirit solution. After such manipulation your manicure will shine as if luster. Unusually beautifully. 11. The last stroke — light massage of brushes with any vegetable oil or the moisturizing cream. 12. Fashionable manicure is ready. Now several weeks of bright shine, resistant gloss and faultless color are provided to your marigold. To remove Shellac, it is not obligatory to go to salon. In house conditions to remove covering it is possible too, you need special structure which manicurists use for removal of gel nails. After processing by this means the covering departs from marigold in the form of film and easily is removed.
