At transfer of the website from one server on another the main task of the administrator is saving not only appearance of a resource, but also import of all these users and settings. Instruction
1. Copying of the website on Joomla consists of 2 parts: copying of files and transfer of the database where all contents are stored. Both operations are executed separately. Previously prepare the target server, having deleted all .htaccess and index.php files since they can be not replaced at coincidence of names.
2. Be connected to an old hosting by means of any FTP client (for example, FileZilla, CuteFTP or Total Commander). Load the copy of the website on the hard drive of the computer. That to make it, it is enough to drag all files from a root folder on a remote server in in advance created directory on the computer. After completion of the procedure make sure that all data in safety.
3. Unite to the server to which you move. Move the website from the hard drive on a hosting by means of FTP, wait for the end of loading. The most important is to maintain initial hierarchy of files, i.e. to load all data just as it was on your first host.
4. Come into the control panel of databases of phpMyAdmin to the old address. Select a name of Joomla base in the left part of a window of the page, go to the Export tab. Click on the Save as point, click "Begin". If this utility is absent on your hosting, use the available functions, or ask to provide in technical support service of provider to you the copy of this DB.
5. Create the database on a new hosting and come into phpMyAdmin. Click on a database name in the panel at the left and select the Import tab. Specify path to the saved DB file and wait for the end of a procedure.
6. Open the configuration.php file in a root of already copied website and change all settings according to parameters of the new server. Replace values of variables of $host, $user, $db and $password. $live_site is usually left empty. Copying is complete.
