Practically all modern games are configured under the display and its permission, however those who like to play arcades or old games, can face a problem of a full-screen game. There are 5 ways to play in the full-screen mode.
Hot keys
In some games, both old, and new (as WoT) transition to the full screen is carried out by means of combination key stroke of Enter and Alt. The same combination allows to return a game to the window mode.
Start parameters
In some games in the mode of a window properties of a label of a game and parameter "-window" are responsible for start. This parameter can be registered in a line "Object" in properties of a label. Everything that needs to be made is to remove this inscription. It is also possible to try in properties of a label to select the tab of compatibility and to select start with the superstructures suitable under earlier versions of the operating system.
Setup of the video card
Game cannot sometimes be started and work in the mode of the full screen because of outdated or incorrect drivers for the video card. Such problem is solved with the help or updates of drivers, or their reinstallation. To make it, it is necessary to perform, depending on vendor of the video card, the following operations:
- Open the control panel, select the section nVidia and, already in it, scaling regulation. At inclusion of this parameter a game will have to extend to display parameters.
- Start the Catalyst Control Center program and make similar actions.
In most cases, if the problem concerns the video card, these problems are solved just by change of parameters of scaling.
Setup of a game
Here everything is absolutely simple – it is necessary to come into settings of the game started in the mode of a window and to find in settings that point which is responsible for start either in full-screen, or in the window mode. After that it is necessary to make corresponding changes and to reboot a game.
Also similar parameter, especially if a game old, it is possible to find in the corresponding Launcher the file which is or in the Start menu (in the directory with a game), or in the folder with the installed game.
At the same time to a game it will not be important to what operating system or to what permission she needs to adapt.
Change of permission
If all ways which are listed above did not bring any results, perhaps, a game is very old for its start in modern operating systems.
In that case it is possible to solve a problem only in one way – to change resolution of the screen. Of course, other programs which are actively using graphic resources will cease to join after that, however nobody will prevent the user after the game to return native permission to classics.
And, of course, you should not avoid those fans who or improve old games, adjusting them to new resolutions of screens, or create special patches for this purpose.
