Why eBay will not sell magic goods any more

The eBay auction web site is known as the largest network resource on which users can offer various types of goods for sale, excluding unless prohibited by the legislation. Until recently on eBay also magic goods were exposed, however since September an end will be put to this practice.

Disputes on whether the magic is real or it is only a niche for enterprising charlatans, go decades. Nevertheless, magic and occult business prospers, advertizing of services of sorcerers, witches and fortunetellers can be met both in printing editions, and on the Internet. Also the shops trading in different occult goods prosper.

Was not in this plan an exception and eBay on which it was possible to meet various magic goods, from amulets and mascots to magic elixirs. But since September, 2012 to a practice to sale of occult goods at an auction the end, it seems, came. The administration of service reported that it with an early autumn will cease to place information on magic goods and services. Sale of spells, damnations, different potions, amulets and mascots was among prohibited, it is not authorized to offer now magic services including guessing.

A large number of disputes between buyers and sellers of goods of this category became the main reason for adoption of this solution. Administration of eBay, having been tired of an infinite showdown with that and others, decided to put an end to practice of advertizing of magic goods. It is from now on forbidden to publish information on their sale, and appropriate sections of an auction will be deleted. It is offered to all sellers of goods of this category to sell out them prior to the beginning of September or to remove offers on sale.

This solution of administration of eBay caused contradictory responses. Some users are glad that to sellers of similar goods at last will cover access to an auction. Others, on the contrary, are puzzled with the made decision as on eBay it was possible to find really interesting, and at times and very rare goods. Besides, the introduced restrictions by many are considered as attempt at freedom of religion – if a part of people believes in effectiveness of magic then why prohibit to buy and sell to them corresponding to their belief cult accessories?

Some visitors of an auction go further away, seeing a Christian plot which purpose is exile with eBay of representatives of other cults and beliefs in the made decision. As the proof they point that the administration of service did not begin to prohibit sale of holy water and other sacred Christian objects and relics, and it already nothing but discrimination based on religion. Representatives of eBay do not comment on similar statements in any way, but let know that the made decision will not be final and revised.
