The name of this drink which appeared for the first time in the USA comes from the English word "smooth" which is translated as "gentle", "soft". Smoothie represents the mix of fruit crushed to homogeneous mass.

1. Between preparation of a usual fruit juice and smoothie there is a basic difference. For preparation of the first the centrifuge method at which the most part of fruit pulp is thrown out is used. And at preparation of smoothie all pulp of the crushed fruit remains in drink. If it turns out too dense, it is diluted with cream, milk, water, etc.

2. This drink turns out very tasty. The ropish structure of smoothie allows to drink it slowly, "prolonging" pleasure. Drink always turns out colourful and bright that is pleasing to the eye. Adults love this dessert for the fact that it is very gentle and gives feeling of ease children – for its brightness.
