How to choose circular saw

Circular saw is called the tool for cutting of various materials, such as plastic, metal, tree, etc. Such saws are applied both in private construction, and in industrial production. There are several types of circular saws and when choosing specific model it is necessary to decide what works and in what volume on it will be made.

Instruction

1. Depending on that how often the circular saw will be intensively used, it is necessary to make choice on power. On this indicator it is possible to allocate saws of low power (to 800 W), the average power (800 – 1200 W) and saw of big power (from 1200 W).

2. The main element of circular saw is the cutting cloth or disk. It has the circular form with set of teeths. Depending on material which will be processed by means of circular saw the teeths of cloth can have the different angles of sharpening. For solid materials, for example tin, active disks which have the positive angle of sharpening are used. For cut of tree or plastic it is possible to use passive disks with the negative angle of sharpening.

3. One of the main criteria for selection of saw is depth has spent on drink. This characteristic depends on diameter of saw disk. In domestic needs, in most cases diameter about 55 mm is sufficient. Circular saws with diameter of cloth of the bigger size are used for cut of thick materials and belong to the construction class. They, as a rule, demand more powerful and heavy motor that affects the price of all installation.

4. Circular saws can be equipped with additional functions, such as protection of the engine against overheating, the system of soft engine start, adjustment of rotational speed (at the same time the average value of rotation lies in the range from 1800 to 5000 revolutions per minute), etc.
