The spare battery for the pocket torch is indispensable piece of equipment of each tourist. But energy of batteries should be saved. Do not worry, in your forces to make marching power plant which will weigh as much how many and the battery, and will take places not much more.
Instruction
1. As the generator of our marching power plant it is possible to use any microelectric motor of direct current with excitation from permanent magnets. Wind will be power supply.
2. Selecting the electric motor, try to use at what the rotor rotates the easiest. MDP-1 microelectric motors will approach. You receive the smallest power plant on dimensions when using the micromotor which is used in the models of the railroad manufactured in Germany. And the biggest power will be given by the PD-3 engine (it the heaviest of all).
3. Manufacture the propeller of bottom of can. The number of blades can be miscellaneous – from 8 to 12. The tilt angle of blades has to make about 30 degrees. In the center of the propeller seal lug which can be turned on turning lathe. In lug drill opening and cut thread under the M3 screw.
4. As wind has tendency to change the direction, add design with weather vane. Make wooden plate 300 mm long, do in it groove by the electric motor sizes. Attach the engine wire or elastic bands from pharmaceutical small bottles. In the center of plate (is closer to the engine) drill opening and strengthen in it on the pin from wire weather vane. On the end of plate hammer nail to which the shaft (ribbon or handkerchief) will fasten.
5. The power plant is ready. It will be able to work and on the run even in windless weather if to walk quickly. It is the best of all to use bulb on 1.5 V.
6. The operation principle of power plant is simple: the generator with the propeller is strengthened on pole. From the generator to bulb there are wires. The propeller is turned after wind whiffs, with it it is helped by weather vane. The device is easily taken to constituent parts, the main knots can be repaired or replaced directly in campaign.
