Types of stools
Stools can be used for the different purposes. Before starting production of furniture, it is necessary to be defined for what your product will be used. Treat the most widespread types of stools:
nurseries. Such furniture will be useful not only to children, but also adults. This stool differs in ease, compactness and small height. It can be transferred to any place where at present it is necessary. Besides even the small child can transfer this subject;

How to make the drawing of stool

The most important is to understand that it as a result will turn out, it is correct to evaluate all parameters of future piece of furniture.
The simplest stool consists from:
- seats;
- legs;
- side bars;
- pro-legs;
- "crackers".
Side bars are boards or bars which are located under stool seat. They fasten among themselves legs and create strong support for seat. Pro-legs are located in the central or lower part of legs and increase rigidity of stool;
On the provided scheme it is possible to see names of some parts which enter stool design - it is side bars, pro-legs and "crackers". About them – is slightly more detailed that in further descriptions it was clear what it is about. All these parts are necessary for fastening of design and giving of the necessary durability to it.
"Crackers" are established under stool seat on diagonal. They fasten on side bars and legs.
By drawing up the drawing it is necessary not only to count parameters of all visible parts, but also to calculate the sizes of all internal elements which serve for connection of side bars and pro-legs – thorns and grooves.
Tools
As a rule, stools are made of tree, and therefore it is necessary to stock up with joiner's tools. You should not get professional equipment, of course. However, if you were never engaged in joiner's craft, it is necessary to stock up with some special purpose tools.
The majority of woodworks is performed by manual milling cutter. This tool will facilitate processing of edges of boards, plywood or bar. With its help it is easy to cut grooves and grooves. And if necessary and other openings.
To save itself from manual sandpapering, stock up with the grinder. It will give to wood ideal smoothness. The electric fret saw it is possible to saw quickly and accurately boards. Of course, for the lack of such tool it is possible to use also manual hacksaw, but regions will look not esthetically and will demand additional treatment. Material selection
Depending on where it is supposed to use stool, materials differ. So, practically any strong materials will be suitable for house furniture. It is possible to use both natural wood, and chipboard, and plywood. And here if the stool is used on the street, then it is necessary to apply exclusively natural wood. Best of all wood of larch or oak will approach. When using other wood, before its assembly it is necessary to impregnate with special water-repellent structures carefully. After the stool is ready, it needs to be painted.

Production of simple stool
Production of simple stool begins with the choice of model. The simple stool consists of seat, legs, side bars and prinozhek. For creation of traditional stool 0.5 m high, having seat of 0.45х0.45 m will be required:
- 4 bars for legs. Bars have to be smooth, have the identical height and section about 5х5 cm. For giving of more esthetic exterior to product the bars can be made narrower down from the inside;
- the plywood panel or boards 12-20 mm thick for seat. If the seat is made of several boards, then they need to be stuck together among themselves in the uniform panel;
- 4 boards 441 mm long and 3х6 cm thick for side bars;
- 4 bars 441 mm long and 3х3 cm thick for prinozhek;
- 4 bars for round loose tongues.
Also self-tapping screws and joiner's glue will be required.
First of all it is necessary to make stool framework. For this purpose in the bars prepared for legs places for grooves where prinozhka and side bars will be established are chosen. Openings become by means of chisel or milling cutter. Edges of side bars and prinozhek it is also necessary to process and cut on them thorns. Height and depth of thorns has to be less grooves on 1-1.5 mm. When all frame members are prepared, they in pairs gather. Thorns are processed by joiner's glue, and the turned-out frames are pulled together in clamps. After pair legs have dried out, on them the remained side bars and prinozhka which thorns are greased with glue are established. The turned-out framework contracts in clamps before full drying. After pasting each connection is in addition fastened with self-tapping screws.
Then glue is applied on inside of the prepared seat. The seat is leveled and nestles. On corners of seat openings are drilled. These openings are glued, and then round loose tongues are hammered into them. The top of round loose tongues needs to be cut off, and to grind installation sites to smoothness. After full drying gluing stool it is possible to paint or process in addition varnish.
Production of folding stool
The folding stool is very convenient to what in need of it can be removed. Besides, such furniture can be taken at departure on the nature as in the put state it does not take a lot of place.
For folding stool will be required:
- the panel for seat. The sizes of the panel get out to the master's discretion, however, you should not forget that the folding stool has to be compact;
- bars for frames legs;
- pin with double-sided thread and edge nuts if through installation, or pin with the blunted ends for installation in grooves is supposed;
- 4 furniture loops;
- joiner's glue;
- mordant and varnish;
- round loose tongues and chopik;
- self-tapping screws.
The sizes of all parts are chosen, proceeding from the conceived product sizes.
The first step at production of folding stool is creation of frames. As it is supposed that one frame will enter another, it is necessary to prepare bars of the corresponding length. In two bars from which the external frame will be created it is necessary to cut grooves for the movement of pin. Grooves can be made deaf or through. Width of groove is chosen, proceeding from diameter of the prepared pin. Also. Proceeding from this size, in two other bars forming internal frame through holes are drilled.
For convenience of addition of stool, in upper part of seat it is necessary to make curvilinear opening, the size long approximately in 120 mm, and 20÷25 mm wide that it was convenient to undertake it hand.
The bars forming internal frame need to be cut off accurately in upper part at an angle of 30 degrees. Work this thin, it is necessary to make it absolutely precisely, and therefore "by eye" it is impossible to carry out. Cross-pieces which are established between the main bars of frames fasten on round loose tongues.
The following step is fastening of legs to seat. For this purpose from reverse side of seat places for installation of loops are outlined. Loops keep within on the marked place and obcherchivatsya accurately. Then loops need to be attached to the top edge sides of legs. After that loops fasten directly to seat.
The last step is installation of pin. For more esthetic exterior the pin is recommended to be closed wooden or plastic tube. If necessary the finished product becomes covered by mordant and is varnished.
You should not begin work on production of difficult stool in design, without having experience of joiner's works. Though if there are patience and desire, then it is possible to start also serious works, the most important in any business – spirit.
