Spots from wax on favourite clothes, cloth or furniture – extremely unpleasant phenomenon. They quite often happen sad consequence of romantic dinner by candlelight or original holiday in cozy situation. Many despair and mentally reconcile to need to throw out good thing, having found spots from wax. At first sight, these spots extremely reluctantly give in to removal. The melted wax impregnates fibers of fabrics on both sides, safely drying and stiffening between them. Not to wash it in the normal way.
Instruction
1. Spots from wax - everything is not as terrible as can seem at first sight – there are very effective and checked by time means which will allow to remove quickly wax from any fabric. If it has accumulated and has stiffened convex small group – surplus is recommended to be cut off not strongly sharp knife. It was easier to make it, the knife can be warmed up slightly previously (for example, on lighter flame). And further to work according to the old checked scheme.
2. From clothes will be necessary paper with the good getting wet and absorbing properties (napkin or paper scarf) for removal of spots, and the iron. The napkin is put on ironing board in 1-2 layers. If desired under bottom it is possible to spread piece of old unnecessary fabric – it will help to protect board. From above the spoiled site of clothes is placed and takes cover one more layer of paper. Then it is possible to iron properly spot, if necessary shifting and replacing the top napkin. The iron will melt wax, and that will be absorbed in paper.
3. If the product from fine delicate fabric is also subject to stroking only at the minimum power – you should not despair, melting temperature of wax is rather low. The way anyway will be effective, after pressing there will be only simple greasy spots with which any modern washing machine and good cleaning agent already without effort will cope.
4. By the same method it is possible to remove wax from carelessly spoiled furniture or carpet, there are no fundamental differences: to impose napkin on spot, to iron. Then if necessary to apply means to cleaning of furniture. However, in certain cases happens accurately enough to clean off spot the warmed-up edge not of sharp knife. It, besides, depends on scale and extent of pollution, covering type.
5. And how to be if the order from extremely whimsical material is damaged – we will tell, velvet, plush, velor? Here skilled hostesses do not recommend to use the iron any more. But it is possible to remove spot without problems, having wiped it with alcohol or turpentine.
