Onions – one of the most widespread vegetable cultures. To receive good large bulb, the gardener should spend many forces and time. Two years on receiving onions turnip from seeds are required. How to put and to look after correctly onions in the first year to receive small lukovichka – pilferers?

- - onions seeds (chernushka);
- - solution of copper vitriol;
- - ukryvny material;
- - garden tool.
Instruction
1. A month before disembarkation check onions seeds (chernushka) for viability. For this purpose select 10-15 pieces of seeds and keep them in damp matter 2-3 weeks. Later wet seeds in warm water (22-26 °C) for 24 hours.
2. Prepare bed on the solar, open place. The best predecessors for onions are cucumbers, cabbage, peas, tomatoes. Soils where in year organic fertilizers in high doses have been introduced will approach. Dig over bed, choose weeds and bring (if there is need of fertilizer). Lime the acidified soil. Spill the earth in 2 days prior to landing solution of copper vitriol (1 tablespoon on 10 l) and close film. It will save onions from mushroom diseases.
3. Mark bed. Having receded 10 cm from edge, make along groove of 2 cm of Distance in depth between grooves – 5 cm. 8-10 g of seeds are spent for 1 sq.m.
4. Sow seeds through 1-1.5 cm. Slightly condense the soil after crops and carefully water. Seeds sprout quite slowly therefore it is better to cover bed with film under handle or special ukryvny material (spanbod). It considerably will accelerate germination and will raise soil moisture.
5. After on bed there are first "eyelets" of onions, thin out shoots if they are too frequent. The distance between crops has to be not less than 1.5 cm. In 12-16 days, onions have the first present sheet.
6. Water onions at the beginning of summer (May-June) once a week. You carry out watering very carefully not to break feather. In July reduce watering since there is ripening lukovichek. Try not to carry out loosening. On clay soils with the formed soil crust, you loosen the earth carefully and superficially.
7. Do not allow overgrowing of onions bed weeds. Weed more often, in process of emergence of weeds after preliminary watering.
