Mathematical operation of extraction of a root means finding of such value at which construction in the set degree the number specified after a root symbol turns out. This number after a symbol of a root is called "subradical", and specify its degree - "indicator" of a root in the symbol. Instruction
1. Use the program which is delivered by Microsoft corporation together with the Windows operating system for calculation of a root. It is possible to cause on the screen its interface through the main menu of a system on the Start-up button. Having opened the menu, click the line "All Programs" and pass into the section "Standard". Click the subsection "Office" and select the Calculator item.
2. If it is necessary to take a square root, then enter subradical number, using for this purpose or buttons on the screen, or pressing keys on the keyboard. Then click the button with the inscription sqrt - the program will calculate and will show a square root from the entered number.
3. If the exponent of the taken root more than two then to make it in the usual interface of the calculator which is started by default it will not turn out. Open the section "Look" in the menu and choose the line "Engineering" (or "Scientific") to switch in that version of the interface which contains the necessary functions.
4. If it is necessary to take a cubic root from number, then enter subradical number, and then give a mark in a checkbox near the inscription Inv. It you invert functions of buttons of the interface, so, having clicked the construction button in a cube, will give the command for the return operation, that is for extraction of a cubic root. On the button necessary to you the expression of x^3 is represented - press it and the calculator will make operation of extraction of a cube root.
5. If an exponent root more than three, then at first enter subradical number, then give a mark in Inv checkbox, as well as at extraction of a cubic root. Then click the button on which x^y symbols are placed and enter an exponent. The calculator will make operation of extraction of a root of the specified degree when you click the button (or you will press a key) with an equal-sign.
