The term "bioinert substance" was entered into biogeochemistry by the Russian scientist Vladimir Vernadsky. He called such substance the special natural body which is result of activity of living organisms, geological and physical and chemical processes in inanimate nature.
Formation of bioinert substance
Bioinert substance is a part of the biosphere. Treat such substances: fresh and salty water of natural natural reservoirs, soil, rocks, etc. The bioinert body has complex structure on a mineral basis and is created by living organisms and inert processes – living organisms interact with a mineral basis and will transform it. Living organisms play a major role in bioinert substance. Properties of the soil, rocks, waters depend on its activity.
Role of bioinert substance in the biosphere of Earth
Bioinert substance plays an important role in development of the biosphere. In the nature bioinert substances make the big changing equilibrium systems which interact among themselves. The bioinert systems of Earth are the natural-historical formations which appeared in a certain geochemical situation with the participation of live substance in the course of evolution of a physiographic cover. All bioinert systems form a uniform ecosystem of Earth. Without soil, bark of aeration, water, natural Ils life on Earth is inconceivable.
Bioinert systems always change – forward development is characteristic of them, they do not come back to a former state. As a result of a circulation in the biosphere the oxidation-reduction zonality of bioinert systems promoting activity of living organisms is formed. For example, in the top zones of lake reservoirs the photosynthesis develops, plants emit oxygen, and the oxidizing situation is formed. In deep parts of reservoirs there is a decomposition of organic matter, carbon dioxide is formed, and in Ils there can be a recovery environment. I.e. in the bioinert system of the hydrosphere constantly there are various physical and chemical processes. Water without these processes on Earth are the absolutely inert body deprived of life. Water, the bioinert system of the hydrosphere – an obligatory part of existence of all live, it makes 60% of body weight of living organisms of sushi. Ils which are formed in water are also very important for development of the biosphere. Rotten lake Ils use as fertilizers, therapeutic muds, fertilizing for pets. Such Ils are rich with organic compounds among which there are proteins, vitamins and other biologically active agents. The soil is sated with living organisms and products of their activity, dead organic matter. It is the tank of natural gases, promotes change of their structure. In development of the biosphere of the soil provide existence of a biogeocenosis, participate in regulation of composition of natural waters and soil air, transfer pollutants to forms, inaccessible for living organisms. The connections forming in the soil do not allow to produce poisonous gases in the atmosphere.
