From a course of civil defense it is known that the electromagnetic impulse arises at nuclear explosion and causes huge destructions. However, certainly, not any such impulse is so dangerous. Instruction
1. Take the unnecessary pocket film camera with flash. Pull out from it batteries. Put on rubber gloves and disassemble the device.
2. Discharge the accumulative condenser of flash. For this purpose take the resistor with a resistance about 1 kOhm and 0.5 W, bend its conclusions, clamp it in small flat-nose pliers with the isolated handles then, holding the resistor only by means of flat-nose pliers, close them the condenser on several dozen seconds. After that finally discharge the condenser, having closed its edge screw-drivers with the isolated handle on several dozen seconds.
3. Measure tension on the condenser - it should not exceed several volts. If necessary, discharge the condenser repeatedly. Solder a crossing point on condenser conclusions.
4. Now discharge the condenser in a sinkhrokontakt chain. It has small capacity therefore for its category rather quickly to close sinkhrokontakt. You hold at the same time hands far away from a lamp flash as at operation of the sinkhrokontakt for it from the special raising transformer the impulse of high voltage arrives.
5. Take a hollow dielectric framework diameter in several millimeters. Reel up on it several hundreds of rounds of the isolated wire with a diameter about a millimeter. Over a winding reel up several layers of an insulating tape.
6. Turn on the coil consistently with the accumulative condenser of flash. If the camera has no flash check button, connect parallel to a sinkhrokontakt the button with good isolation, for example, zvonkovy.
7. Make in the case of the device small dredging for a conclusion of wires from the button and the coil. They are necessary in order that at assembly of the case these wires did not turn out pressed that threatens with their break. Remove a crossing point from the accumulative condenser of flash. Collect the device then take off rubber gloves.
8. Insert into the battery device. Turn on it, having turned off flash from themselves, wait for condenser charging then insert a screw-driver edge into the coil. Holding the screw-driver for the handle that it did not take off, press the button. Along with flash there will be an electromagnetic impulse which will magnetize the screw-driver.
9. If the screw-driver was magnetized insufficiently well, it is possible to repeat operation several times. In process of use of the screw-driver it will gradually lose magnetization. You should not worry about it - now you have a device which it can always be restored. Consider that the magnetized screw-drivers are pleasant not to all house masters. Some consider them very convenient, others - on the contrary, very inconvenient.
