Response – an art and publicistic genre of literature in which gives kritiko-analytical analysis of other work. Acquaintance of future readers with a plot and the idea of the work or development in the author of analytical thinking can be the purpose of its writing.
Instruction
1. Read the story and the short biography of the author. In the introduction give the curriculum vitae about the writer: when was born at what governor, who influenced his development and creativity.
2. State the history of creation of the story in more detail: circumstances, time, place.
3. State a plot, dividing the story into conditional parts (exposition, a tie, development, the culmination, the final). Specify what means are used for forcing of a situation.
4. Analyze motives of behavior of the main and collateral characters. Specify what mistakes, in your opinion, they allowed.
5. Sum up the result. Introduce the main idea of the work which was taken out from the work. Draw parallels in history of times of the author and the present, answer a question: whether the similar situation is possible presently? What will it differ in and in what it will be similar?
