The Red List of Ukraine includes more than one hundred rare and disappearing plants, but there are what botanists watch with special attention. There are two main reasons for their disappearance: it is beauty of flowers and application of fruits and roots of plants in traditional medicine.

1. One of the most beautiful and unusual flowers of Ukraine is a lady's slipper which was taken under protection in Europe in the nineteenth century. This rare plant can be protected from animals by means of caustic juice, and here against fans of bouquets the lady's slipper is powerless and gradually disappears, and blossoming of this orchid happens only after seventeen years of life.
2. Yatryshnik purple same orchid as lady's slipper, but not less rare. In Ukraine he can be met in Prikarpatye and the western forest-steppes. Also an area of dwelling of a yatryshnik is the Crimea, Moldova and the Caucasus.
3. The orchis spotty meets across the whole Europe, Siberia and comes across even in Africa, but from it it does not stop being a disappearing plant. His main enemies are supporters of traditional medicine who use an orchis at diseases of stomach and bladder and also for the strengthening drinks. It is possible to meet this rare plant in forests and on damp meadows, especially where the peat moss grows.
4. The autumn crocus of arkanskiya - a plant which was called Colchis earlier in Ukraine grows only in the southern areas and in the Crimea, generally in steppes and on stony slopes. Density of populations very low, only several units on hundred square meters. The reasons of disappearance of this look are directly connected with the person. 5. One more poisonous disappearing plant of Ukraine is the volcheyagodnik ordinary, well-known for the wolf berries. The dwelling area – the dark-coniferous and mixed woods, in broad-leaved forests a volcheyagodnik almost does not meet. Volcheyagodnik ordinary is incredibly toxic and forbidden for application in the medical purposes, but at the same time he is used by folk healers and homeopathists. All parts of this plant are poisonous, and in case of poisoning there are such symptoms as nausea, vomiting and spasms that is an undoubted reason for immediate hospitalization.
6. A specific place on the Red List of Ukraine is held by a carnation bugsky is an endemic who grows only on the Dnieper height in gorges of granite rocks and the stony soil. Is registered in the European Red list and it is taken under special protection. For safety of a look it is cultivated in a number of botanical gardens.
