Live forage
Certainly, in wildlife of fish prefer to regale on live seaweed and small Crustacea or to hunt insects and other small fishes. Such forage contains all necessary nutrients and vitamins, its freshness – very first, and it will be reflected in mood and a condition of your fishes also highly.One of essential minuses of such forage – inconvenience of storage for aquarians. Live worms or crustaceans need to be supported constantly in a viable state, and this extra time and, frankly speaking, a headache. Besides, the live forage may contain pathogenic microorganisms which lead to diseases of small fishes.
The frozen forageThe frozen forage, of course, not the live and moving crustaceans or worms, but is eaten by small fishes also with big appetite. At the correct freezing such food keeps almost all useful substances and minerals, and the taste and aroma remain so attractive. It is necessary to store the frozen forage for fishes in the fridge freezer, and just before feeding – to defreeze in the necessary portions. It should be noted that unlike a live forage, before freezing the Crustacea and a crank are exposed to compulsory procedure of disinfection. Therefore risk of infection of fishes from such forage almost zero.
Dry feed
It is convenient and most practical as it is well stored and does not demand any additional manipulations before feeding. The jar of such forage can stand near an aquarium and any of family members in time convenient to it will be to feed hungry fishes. However applying dry feeds it is necessary to understand that they will not be able to provide a full-fledged diet to fishes. Pay attention to a form of release of a dry feed. Today producers offer granules of the different size and also chips and a forage which is rather reminding powder or dust. The large granulated forage is intended for ground inhabitants: the heavy granule lays down on a bottom, gradually inflates and can be eaten by somika or snails. Small and average granules much easier and will be suitable for food of large small fishes. Remember that the more small than sterns, the more small there has to be a small fish. So dust dry feeds will usually scent whitebaits and fish juveniles, and here for adult or large small fishes it is necessary to buy chips or granules of average fraction.
